Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, you explicitly acknowledge acceptance of these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy via a checkbox or button during registration.

Continued use of the GlobiSport platform (the mobile app and website, together the "Platform") after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. You will receive an email notification for material changes.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for the security and activity of your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
Multi-factor authentication and biometric sign-in are available and recommended for added security.
You must notify GlobiSport immediately of any unauthorised account access.
GlobiSport reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of what you post, subject to the license below.

You are solely responsible for the content you post or share on the Platform ("User Content"), including profile information, community posts, highlights, and messages.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to your User Content.
You grant GlobiSport a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content solely to operate the Platform (for example, displaying your profile, GS Score, or a Community post). This licence does not extend to using your User Content for external marketing without your explicit consent.
You must obtain consent before posting another person's personal information (for example, a teammate's contact details).
You agree not to post User Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
GlobiSport reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

4. Platform Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

Impersonate any person or entity.
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers or networks.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform.
Use the Platform to distribute spam or other unsolicited communications.
Infringe on any intellectual property rights.
Reverse engineer, scrape, or perform automated data extraction from the Platform without prior written permission.

5. Bookings & Payments

Coaches and professionals list bookable services on their profile — 1-on-1 sessions, group sessions, online consultations, development pathways, video analysis, or monthly memberships — each with their own rate.

Athletes book a real time slot from a coach's published availability. Payment is processed securely through PayFast in South African Rand (ZAR). Any platform service fee is disclosed before you confirm a booking.

If the athlete is a minor, the booking is held pending guardian approval and payment is routed through the guardian's account.

Athletes can rate and review a coach after a completed session. Reviews must be honest and based on a genuine experience.

GlobiSport may help mediate disputes between an athlete and a coach relating to a booking, but is not liable for the outcome of individual sessions.

6. Messaging & Connections

You are responsible for the content of the messages you send. A first message to someone you're not already connected with may be held as a Request until they accept it. A first message to a minor requires guardian approval before it is delivered.

You agree not to send spam or harassing messages. GlobiSport may review reported messages for violations of these Terms. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time through your account settings.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content are owned by GlobiSport and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not use any content from the Platform without GlobiSport's prior written consent. Copyright concerns can be reported through our support contact below.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in South African courts, with adherence to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Consumer Protection Act.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Limitation of Liability

GlobiSport shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

GlobiSport reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically. Notification of material changes will be provided via email.
