Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and minors

The Service is available to athletes, coaches, professionals, and institutions. Users under 18 may use the Service only through an account linked to a verified parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and remains responsible for the minor’s use of the Service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the community.

3. Identity verification

Certain features require identity verification. Verification helps protect a community that includes children, but GlobiSport does not guarantee the accuracy of any user’s identity, qualifications, or conduct. You remain responsible for your own decisions about who you interact with, book, or meet.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, role, or credentials.
• Harass, abuse, endanger, or exploit any user, and in particular any minor.
• Post unlawful, misleading, or harmful content, or forge scores, reviews, or verification status.
• Attempt to circumvent security, access data you are not authorised to access, or disrupt the Service.

5. Bookings and payments

Coaches list services and prices; athletes (or their guardians) book and pay for sessions. Payments are processed by PayFast. The price charged is the price set by the coach for the selected service. Where a booking requires guardian approval, payment and confirmation follow that approval. Refunds and cancellations are handled according to the booking status and any cancellation terms shown at the time of booking.

6. Messaging and connections

You are responsible for the content of the messages you send. A first message to someone you’re not already connected with may be held as a Request until they accept it. A first message to a minor requires guardian approval before it is delivered. You agree not to send spam or harassing messages. GlobiSport may review reported messages for violations of these Terms. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time through your account settings.

7. User content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant GlobiSport a licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and must have the rights to share it.

8. Intellectual property

The Service and its content are owned by GlobiSport and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content from the Service without GlobiSport’s prior written consent. Copyright concerns can be reported to info@globisport.com.

9. Service availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, GlobiSport is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached or where required to protect users or comply with the law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or platform, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
